This will be the third year I’ve worked on an event with Oakland Mansion and every year they never cease to amaze me. The head of house coordinators are consistently quick and clear with communication, and always willing to be flexible when problems inevitably arise. Will for sure be keeping them at the top of my roster for event bookings. Would absolutely suggest for special occasions!

For years Oakland Mansion has hosted high quality events at their beautiful venue. The staff is always professional and kind. James Manning has also taken great care to tell the history of the site and brought forth the stories and voices of the enslaved persons who lived there. It is the gem of our downtown area and the perfect place for events, walking or a picnic.

We had our daughter’s wedding reception at the Oaklands yesterday evening and it was amazing. Connor is super helpful and made sure that everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Highly recommend!!!!

An amazing place of history. Dinner, Dancing and Dashikis event that celebrated African culture and heritage was awesome. We thank Franklin's Fruit Tea for this HBCU fundraiser and the Oakland's for the venue. It was truly epic!

We just had our wedding at Oakland's mansion and it was amazing! Definitely recommend getting married here if you appreciate simple elegance and a historical venue. We fell in love with the beauty of the venue when we first toured it and the reception hall was a perfect size for our smaller guest count. Our wedding was outside on the grounds with the mansion as the backdrop and happy hour was behind the mansion with pretty hanging lights. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. Connor was wonderful to work with, he helped me through the whole process of having our wedding at Oaklands and he answered all my emails so quickly. He also met with me multiple times in person to go over specific wedding details. He has a very calming presence that is much appreciated when you are stressed planning a wedding! Highly recommend choosing this venue, you won't regret it!

The event space at Oaklands Mansion was a lovely conference venue! We enjoyed seamless access to the beautiful grounds and trails, and a bonus tour of the beautifully restored mansion with compelling exhibits! James and Conner are fantastic hosts and caretakers of this magical venue!
