I went to a wedding there recently and I have to tell you the folks at Mansion were very helpful with the wedding and worked with the couple on a number of things to make their day as stress free as it could be. The place is beautiful and very well kept. It was just an overall great experience.

I was in their meeting room for a dinner, so I didn't visit the Mansion this time. The grounds are lovely, with trees marked (if you're into identifying trees like me), a garden, and a wetlands area. The meeting room can be rented out. It has a kitchen, handicapped-accessible bathrooms, and enough room to fit 100 people seated at tables. The decor is lovely with Fortuny inspired wallpaper and dimmable lights. The Mansion itself is well preserved with period furniture and clothing on display, as well as interesting stories if you get a guide.

Excellent place to go to get some history on. Even better place to take the family and just enjoy the huge property and have some lunch. Or you can join one of the many things they put on regularly. Like the October they had a clue night with drinks food and prizes and Octoberfest that sells out pretty fast.

Wow, this place is such an interesting time capsule! The history of the house, its owners and the grounds is fascinating. Apparently, there is also an almost complete collection of every native TN tree on the lovely grounds, with the exception of one or two lost in a tornado. A must see in middle TN
